“Lukas Zpira is a transdisciplinary artist exploring the notion of territories and borders. Physical boundaries, cultural territories, consciousness boundaries and all the spaces in between. Artistically active since 1991, he has been working around Body Modification since the mid-90s. He created the Bødy Hacktivism movement while developing laboratory art on organic experiences, erotic aesthetics, performance and rituals. The mediums are performances, photography, transmedia, editions, and each creation echoes the notion of puzzle, deconstruction/reconstruction, and limits. Lukas Zpira is now a reference name in the world of cyberpunk and body hacking. His work has traveled all over the world, confronting and mixing many cultural inspirations, experimenting with nomadism and serendipity.”
